Girl Crush
A raw cover session: I re-arranged the song to keep its emotional brutality intact - filmed fast, improvised, and intentionally unpolished.
Miri approached me with this song wanting to record a cover version - the original is a country track by Little Big Town.
My goal was to translate the emotional brutality into the arrangement: raw, direct, without pretense. We were lucky enough to shoot at a construction site on one of Miri’s projects, which added a perfect, honest roughness to the visuals.
Everything was improvised and had to happen quickly. I still love the result: not always pretty, but always truthful - respectful of the original, but taken to a different place.
